Vote for your Conservative candidates on Thursday May 5th 2022 and vote for change in Flintshire.
Flintshire County Council has been run by Labour since its inception. Our council is the third most underfunded council of the 22 councils in Wales. We have seen year on year rise in our council tax.
Our six point plan for Flintshire
1. Time for Change
Labour have been at the head of the Council since the Council’s creation. Since then, Flintshire has been left behind by the Welsh Government. With Flintshire regularly being underfunded, underrepresented, and losing out on key investment now is the time for change.
2. Levelling Up Flintshire
Levelling up prosperity has fallen per head since devolution began. We will fight for Flintshire to receive its fair share of ‘Levelling Up’ funding and provide leadership to make the most of this, guiding investment in the most effective way to regenerate and improve local communities
3. Supporting local businesses to survive and thrive
Small businesses are the lifeblood of the local economy. We will back these businesses by creating the conditions for them to thrive, supporting job creation and improving livelihoods.
4. Championing Support for Disabled People
Too often Disabled People’s voices are drowned out and ignored. We will champion support for Disabled People so that we can remove the barriers that they face.
5. Challenging Inappropriate Housing Developments
We must protect our green spaces, and not lose them to inappropriate housing developments. That is why we will fight to protect green spaces and continue to champion the building of houses where they are needed most.
6. Improve our NHS
The NHS is in vital need of support and investment from the Welsh Government. We will continue to call for the changes needed to provide the best NHS service possible to our community.
